Z is for Zamir

Over on my blog we have the last day of Blogging from A to Z this year. I hope you enjoyed visiting with my characters from P.A.W.S.

Paws4Thought

Z

“Salaam, my name is Zamir and I come from Aswan in southern Egypt. I’m an exchange student at St. Louis P.A.W.S. and am training with Mrs. Bumsqueak to be a healer.

My shapeshifter form is a snake and snake shifters are often healers. We learn how to use our own venom as part of the healing process.

When I’m not working with Mrs. Bumsqueak I spend time with my girlfriend, Lilith. She still has to attend morning classes with Professor Ainsworth and sometimes I assist her with her homework.

At other times I like to sit in the Jewel Box in my snake form. It is soothing to be one with nature.”

Paws4Thought

V

“Welcome, welcome! Come sit down. Take a seat. The pea soup will be ready shortly. And it’s truly scrumptious today.

I  am Victor and I am both your chef and your host here in the Dining Room at the P.A.W.S. Institute of Londinium. As you can see I am a rather small pig, but I have trained in the Culinary Magical Institute of P.A.W.S. in Paris and  I can produce a veritable banquet.

So start with the pea soup, stay for the shepherd’s pie, and make sure you leave enough room for pudding. Today’s selection is Headmaster Sprocket’s favorite, rhubarb crumble and custard.”

R is for Ramora

I’ve a freebie today on my writing blog – a little fairy tale with an evil green fairy. Check it out.

Paws4Thought

R

“Hello, my name is Ramora and I come from the village of Manus Wu. Up until the age of 12 I lived with my family in the village.

I was happy, I guess, but I always wanted more. I would watch the old witch doing magic by the Mirror Pond, dropping her polished pebbles into the water.  One day she gave me one – a small blue polished stone. I still keep it in my pocket although today I live far away from Manus Wu in the Dominion of the Tegs.

Do you want to know how I ended up there? Well, today you can read my story for FREE on Kindle.

P is for Precipitous Brew

Over on my sister blog today meet Precipitous Brew (5)

Paws4Thought

P

“Good day to you. My name is Precipitous Brew and you will find me (if the need arises) at my home just adjacent to Kensington Gardens in London.

I have actually gone by a lot of names over the decades I have been on this planet, but Precipitous Brew amuses me. I saw it first in a crossword puzzle, a clue for the word STEEP. In my work as alchemist I often steep my potions, or else steep my tea, so you see the name fits.

I act as a consultant to the P.A.W.S. Institute of Londinium. Their current Headmaster, Cornelius Sprocket, is a fool and needs to be watched. Of course they have offered me the position multiple times, but I refuse (as is customary) and prefer to keep my distance.

However if you need to speak to me on important magical business you may make an appointment with…

B is for Beatrice Bumsqueak

B is for Beatrice Bumsqueak -who is not only the healer at P.A.W.S., but also the resident crossword puzzle enthusiast.

Paws4Thought

B

“Hello everyone. My name is Beatrice Bumsqueak and I am the Healer at the P.A.W.S. Institute of the Midwest. My animagus form is a toad and often use my special healing venom in potions at P.A.W.S.

My potions can heal all kinds of ailments and it’s not my fault that most taste a little like pond water. I’m currently training an intern, Zamir, from the P.A.W.S. Institute of Egypt. His animagus form is a snake and he also has a very special venom that he is learning to use in potions.

When I’m not working I like to solve crossword puzzles and read romance novels.”

A is for Alistair

Over on my sister blog – Paws 4 Thought it’s day 1 of Blogging from A to Z. Hop on over to meet a really evil werewolf dude, Alistair, and enter my contest for a chance to win an audio book of his story.

Paws4Thought

A

Hi everyone – Happy April Fools Day and welcome to the first day of Blogging from A to Z. During the month of April I’ll be introducing 26 characters from the P.A.W.S. Saga, one for each letter of the alphabet.

So without further ado let me introduce you to Alistair Wolfe:

“Charmed to be here. And of course it is only fitting that I Alistair Wolfe am the first character to be featured this month. A little about me – Wolfe, of course, is not my real name, but I love the irony of my chosen title.

I have been a werewolf for a long time now. Centuries if the truth be told. It all began with a trip to Transylvania with the alchemist Quentin Frakes. There I met Roman, the oldest of all the werewolves. Most folk show fear when they meet a werewolf. I walked willingly into Roman’s den. Roman not…
