My name is Debbie Manber Kupfer. I have the coolest job in the world – I write word and logic puzzles, with the help of lots of tea and dark chocolate!
I’ve lived in London, Israel and New York and somehow ended up in St. Louis.
My puzzles have appeared in Penny Press and Dell Magazines, and on the walls of the Eltana Bagel Cafe in Seattle.
When I’m not puzzling, I’m writing and am the author of the fantasy series, P.A.W.S. which is available for in paperback and ebook from Amazon, Barnes and Noble or your local bookstore.
Hey, thanks for the follow. I recently picked up P.A.W.S. for a birthday present for my wife’s young cousin, so I thought I would nose around. I’m an aspiring writer in the St. Louis area, so it’s nice to see what other locals are up to.

Hi! What a great job you have, writing puzzles! How did you get I to that sort of work? I like all sorts of puzzles too. I look forward to reading more….

I’ve been solving puzzles much of my life, but started writing them around 19 years ago when I was lucky to land a job as a puzzle editor at Penny Press magazines in Connecticut. I worked there until my husband wanted to move back to St. Louis and since moving here I’ve been working as a freelance puzzle constructor, mostly for Penny Press. (Maybe I’ll write a blog post about this soon – stay tuned!) And thanks for the comment. I’m always thrilled to hear from my readers and solvers.
