An Ex in the Puzzle by Louise Foster

Hey folks, one of the most fun recent projects I worked on was with mystery writer, Louise Foster. I met Louise originally at Archon, a local science fiction convention which I attend every year as a writer, puzzler and fan. At the time I was running a workshop on writing puzzles. In following years I’ve also with my son, Joey run puzzle hunts at Archon and storytimes in children’s programming.

Louise contacted me because she was working on a mystery series featuring crossword puzzles and wanted to include puzzles both in the books and on her website. Well, COVID happened and the project took a little longer to complete but today the first of Louise’s books and puzzles are out. So over to Tracey Belden – PI and puzzle enthusiast.

I’m Tracy Belden. Creating crossword puzzles is my passion. But it doesn’t pay the rent.
Being a part-time PI does. My current case is about a missing woman, my ex-husband’s second wife.
There’s no proof she’s dead. Or that my ex-husband killed her.
I have to admit, I’m not particularly interested in clearing his name.
What’s important is… solving the puzzle.

One of my puzzles is inside the book, plus pick up a bonus puzzle over at Louise’s website
