Puzzling From A to Z – Day 4 – D is for Detection

D

Hello everyone. First of all apologies for being so late today. As it’s weekend I had so much going on today that this is the first time I’ve been able to get to the computer. Still it’s before midnight here in St. Louis, so I’m still technically on the right day!

Here’s a little puzzle that requires some detective work.

The answers to the eight clues below can be found in the set of letters to their right. But in each set of letters there is one impostor letter that is hiding within hoping not to be detected. Can you find the left over letter in each set? When you place all the left over letters in order the name of  an old sci-fi show will be spelled out.

1. Beef or vegetable                         S F O T K C

2. Windy month                                C H A R A M

3. Mix together                                 D E B L N R

4. Earth, e. g.                                     L O W S D R

5. Whole _______                          N I C A R G

6. Potter’s specialty                           C A G I A M

7. Breakfast offering                         S T O P A T

8. End                                                    E L S C O E

  1. That was fun! 🙂 Unlike some of my Facebook friends, I’m not a spoilsport – won’t give away the answer here in comments!
