Blogging to A to Z: Day 26 – Zigzagging to the Zoo

Are you ready to Zigzag to the Zoo?

Welcome to the final day of Puzzling from A to Z. I hope you had fun and will continue following this blog after the month is over.

What better way to celebrate the end of the A to Z challenge but with a trip to the zoo.

We will zigzag our way back through some of the months puzzles and collect animals along the way. You’ll want a piece of paper to write them down and don’t worry if you don’t get them all today, the contest will stay open for a week.

We enter the zoo, by a large letter A.

There are 7 animals hidden in this puzzle all starting with the letter A – can you find them all and don’t forget the bonus animal.

Now who is greeting is from behind the letter O? Write down her name and species and you’re ready to go . . .

It seems we have wandered into the zoo’s aquarium. Another four letter sea creature is hidden in this puzzle.

And oh look there’s another ocean denizen hidden among the Bobs!

We leave the aquarium. It’s time for a Rhyme. Answer questions 1 and 3 behind the R, just in time! (And pick up two more creatures for your list).

All this puzzle solving is hungry work. Lets have some lunch right by this big letter H!

For a bonus answer – not an animal find the two shared words in the Here and There that when put together will spell out something you may take with you on a day out to the zoo.

How about a little Sudoku – the bottom line spells out a member of P.A.W.S. – add his animagus to your list.

And while we’re talking about P.A.W.S. let’s revisit the letter P.

There are two more animals to pick up from this page! And while you’re at it. Come check out the P.A.W.S. Institute of the Midwest’s FB page. Like us and say Hi on the page for an extra entry in the drawing.

There’s a couple of strange dogs hanging out by the letter C. Can you find them?

How about a bagel? There are five more animals hanging out in this crossword I wrote originally for the Eltana bagel bakery in Seattle.

Feed Your Pets Crossword

Whoa we’re getting tired now, but before we cross the finish line. Another bonus puzzle:

Can you solve Joey’s Puzzle from Day 10?

If you can add to your answer list, for an extra entry into the drawing.

And now Victory is here!

There are 3 more animals hidden in this V collage.

That makes 25 animals in all. Have you found them all? If you haven’t don’t worry. Send what you have along with the bonus answers to the H and J puzzles (if you have them) to me in the form below. You get one entry into the drawing for each correctly named animal. 2 entries for the correct answer to puzzle H. 5 entries for the correct answer to puzzle J. And one entry for joining the P.A.W.S. Institute of the Midwest’s FB page and leaving a message.

The winner will get their choice of prize – either an ebook of P.A.W.S. or Fauxpocalypse or a customized word search puzzle created by me!
